A Christmas Shaker Card!!!

Welcome back fellow crafters!!! This round's design team project for Regina at The Cutting Cafe was all about Christmas shaker cards!! How fun!?!?! I must admit this was my first time doing a shaker card and I LOVED it!!! The possibilities are endless!!! We were able to choose from Christmas Shape Shaker Cards or Christmas Word Shaker Cards. I choose to work with the the Christmas Shape Cards and I used the snow globe!!

I think it turned out pretty darn cute! I had a vision that I wanted it to look a little vintage and masculine! It turned out both and would seriously fit right in with our furniture pretty well!!

I used a very fun vintage looking Christmas music paper and the nutcracker is from Lettering Delights.

I glued down a couple snowflake sequins and put a few loose ones with a disco glitter inside.

I also used a Darice embossing folder for the wood grain and colored the accent pieces with a metallic gold marker and used some gold cording. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out and hope you enjoy it!! It's going right up on the mantle with the rest of the Christmas decorations!!

Don't forget to pop on over to The Cutting Cafe Blog and check out the other SUPER TALENTED design team member's projects!!! Leave a comment and you'll be entered to win 3 files of your choice!!!

It's Turkey Time!!! Gobble Gobble!!!

Welcome back fellow crafters!!! For this round's Design Team project for Regina at The Cutting Cafe it was all about Thanksgiving!! YAY!! This is seriously my most favorite time of year!! I love the fall, even though we don't get it here!! People think I'm crazy when I say I want to live in a place where you get all four Season's and experience a white winter but here in SoCal it's ALWAYS the same! We barely get rain! While the weather is beautiful it would be nice to experience seasons!! Hehe.

Anyway, back to the Design Team post! As I said earlier, it's all about Thanksgiving! We were able to choose from Happy Thanksgiving Word Shaped CardTurkey Shaped Card and Thanksgiving Day Printable Stamp Set. I choose to work with the Turkey shaped card! What a fun, cute file!!!

I think he turned out super cute! Plus I got to use my fun fall papers! God I've got SOOO much paper! Hehe.

The file comes with some great sentiments for the inside and for the outside. I LOVE the "eat ham" & the "eat chicken" sentiments! Too much fun!! I changed the eyes up a bit as I wanted him to look a little goofy. I think it turned out pretty darn cute!!

Hope you like!! Make sure you jump over to The Cutting Cafe Blog and leave a comment. You could win 3 free files!!!!

A Fall House!!!

Welcome back fellow crafters!!! For this round's Design Team project for Regina at The Cutting Cafe we got to work on super cute houses!! We had the option to choose from 3D House Set, (WHICH I LOVE!!!!) or House Shaped Card. I choose to work with the 3D house set!!

SUPER CUTE RIGHT!?!?! I wanted to make mine a little fall house! Originally I was intending on using all 3 size houses in the file to make one HUGE house, BUT I ran into a ton of computer problems and lost use of my SCAL 2 software :( I already miss it as I just adore that software! But with Regina's help I was able to learn the basics of my new Explore machine which is fun to use.

Anyway, the 3D house set has some great options! You can choose from different sized houses, different roof styles, including roofs that open up and make your house a box!! How cool!?!

I used the Sizzix Notebook folder to give the house that "siding" look and a Darice folder on the roof for that "tiled" look.

The house comes with three different trees to use and all three come in different sizes and have the extra pieces to layer. I used the layered pieces to make little shrubs in the front.

You also have different options for windows and doors, even shutters!! The fence and cute little pumpkins came form The Cutting Cafe file Halloween and Fall Colored Images Printable Stamp Set.

I really hope you enjoy my cute little 3D Fall House as much as I enjoyed working with it!! Make sure you get back to The Cutting Cafe Blog and check out the other design team member projects!! Don't forget to leave a comment on the design team blog to win some files!!!

It was SOO much fun working with this file as there are SOOO many options to choose from!! You can even use it as a printable stamp set! CUTE!!!! I choose to make the scalloped piece red so it would be like blood running down the inside of the jar!

I had to make my eyeballs super creepy so I made them bloodshot…hehehe, creepy right!?!

The set even comes with some fun printable sentiments.

Hope you enjoy my card!! I think it turned out pretty darn cute!!!

Time For Pumpkins!!!

Welcome back fellow crafters!! This weeks project for The Cutting Cafe was all about PUMPKINS!!!! YAAY!!!!! Welcome back fall!!! Seriously this is my favorite time of year!!! I love to watch the leaves turn colors and the smell of Halloween in the air!!! Plus, I've been working on my Halloween costume since July and it's almost time to debut it!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!

Anyway, we were able to choose from Halloween Trio Printable Stamp Set, Halloween Fall Milk CartonPumpkin Bread Printable StampPumpkin Treat BoxPumpkin Shaped Card and the one I choose, Pumpkin Trio Shaped Card. Are we sensing a theme yet?!?! Hehe.

I think it turned out pretty darn cute!! Of course I'm going to say that, what do you think?

There's lots of fun options with this card, I choose to do some paper piecing for a more 3 dimensional look. I embossed the pumpkins with Cricut Polka Dots, Distressed Stripes and my favorite Haunted Damask!! I love how the damask print has skulls, spiders, bats and a candelabra in it!!! How cool!!

I got the SUPER CUTE witch hat ribbon from my FAVORITE new hangout Hobby Lobby!! That place RULES!!!

Here's the inside. Cute and simple and straight to the point!!! Hehehe.

One more look!! I hope you like!! I'm in love with it!!

A Moustache Box!!!

Welcome back fellow crafters!!! This round of design team projects for The Cutting Cafe was a few different types of packaging projects. We could pick from Stationery CaddyK-Cup Holder or The Coffee Cup Holder Set. I choose to work with the Stationery Caddy!

Super cute Right!?! I used a wood grain paper and a pin stripe lining for the inside. Since I choose pinstripes and wood grain I had to do it with paper piecing so that the grain and pinstripes would all go the correct directions.

I found these really cute moustache charms at The Hobby Lobby (I LOVE THAT PLACE!!!) along with the moustache paper and the rolls of ribbon. The notebook and notebook sheets came from The Cutting Cafe's Mini Note pad and Card Set.

I don't have one of those fancy binding machines so I used a ribbon punch and then bound it with the brown stitched ribbon.

I think it turned out pretty cute and it will be used on my craft desk to hold supplies and take notes on projects!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! Hope you do as well!!

Back On The Design Team With Back To School!!!

Hello fellow crafters and welcome back!! I'm back on the Design Team for The Cutting Cafe and am SOOO THRILLED about it!!! This project theme was Back To School! We were able to choose any school file at The Cutting Cafe Shop to use for this project. I choose to work with Pencil Shape Card Template.  What do you think? I think it turned out pretty darn cute!!

I turned it into a rocket ship blasting off back to school!! The USS Scrappyboy! I wanna go for a ride!!!

I added the rocket ship legs and a fuse to set it off! I added a little red glitter to the fuse because let's face it…..EVERYTHING is better with GLITTER!!!

The digi stamps of the boys and dog were found on Pinterest and I found this cute back to school poem on google.

I think it turned out pretty darn cute and I'm SOOO happy to be back with Regina and all the other talented designers on Regina's design team!!!!

A SUPER CUTE RV!!!

Welcome back fellow crafters!! Here's another project I was busy with. This was made for my mom for her Birthday!!! Weird birthday card right!?! Well there's a story that brings it all together!

My mom has decided that she wants to travel!! She's been talking about getting an RV for over a year now and just going everywhere. So I sold my car and bought her an RV!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!! She is just in LOVE with it!! She's been spending time downsizing her belongings and slowly moving herself and her cats into this RV and she has even named it…. Sweet Sue!! How cute!!!

I got this file from Leo & Mary at SVG Cuts. My sister thought it would be super funny to put underwear on the line outside instead of the flags that originally came with the file.

I know it's not a traditional card by any means but it was too perfect!!! Plus the box is going to come in handy for her to put small things in so they don't move around on her while she's driving! She's quickly learning that things need to be put in boxes or Velcro'd down while she's driving.

Since she named her Sweet Sue I thought it appropriate that the license plate say that! What do you think? This file was soo much fun to make and meant a lot to me since my mom is making some big life changes to do this! I worry about her in this thing but she is soo excited that you just can't not think it's the best idea on earth!!!

Hope you enjoy!!!!

I LOVE YOU MOM!!!! Happy Birthday!!!! I KNOW dad would approve!!!

HIP HIP HOORAY!! A CHEERLEADER CARD!!

Welcome back fellow crafters!! It's so nice to be working on my projects and posting again!! Here's a super cute card I made for a very special friend and life coach for her to give to her niece for graduation. Her niece is  the head cheerleader on her squad so I had to do this super cute card! I found it on Pinterest from September Ninth Blog. I fell in LOVE with this card and had to make it!!!!

I just LOVE it!!! It's too cute!!! The cheerleader is from one of my FAVORITE sites SVG Cuts! I just love Leo and Mary's files!! They are so much fun to make!!! The colors of the uniform are actually her school colors too. I used my Silhouette to do the stitches and writing on the front. The pom poms were made with baker's twine and I found the tutorial here. They were SUPER EASY to make!!

Here's the inside of the card.

The friend I made this for is an AMAZING woman who has with her husband whip my butt into shape!!! I call them the Major and the Lieutenant! They run the most amazing outdoor fitness program here in Los Angeles that will give you the most amazing workout!! It's called Bootcamp LA and if you live in Los Angeles you MUST check it out!!! The Major and LT are very passionate about getting people into shape and have helped me so much!! I love you guys!!!!!

Hope you like the card!!

A BEAUTIFUL MOTHER'S DAY CARD!!!

HELLOOOO fellow crafters!!!! I'M BACK!! HEHE!! It has been far too long since my last post!! I'm feeling MUCH better and have missed my crafts and my crafty friends!! I haven't done a whole lot since before Christmas but I have managed to get a few projects in. BTW, I SOOO miss being on the Design Team for Regina at The Cutting Cafe!!! Hopefully I'll be able to join the next round (fingers crossed!)

Anyway, here is the Mother's Day card I made for my mom and my boyfriend's mom. I'm posting it late but never fear....our mom's received in time!! I scrap-lifted this elegant design from the Poetic Artistry blog when I found it on Pinterest.

It was fun making because when I jumped into cardmaking and paper crafting I started with more 3D things and what I consider a bit harder techniques and never really learned the basics. This project really helped me learn some of the basics to card making. However, I still can not figure out how big you are supposed to cut mat's when adding to your cards, or what's really driving me crazy….how do you know how wide and long to make the cool flags that people add to their cards? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

It's a little hard to tell from the pics but the mat is embossed in this project as well. I used Spellbinders Impressibility's for the embossing and Spellbinders Labels 1 Nestabilities for the labels. I loved learning how to use these but I'm not over the hill about the Impressibility's as you can barely see the embossing. I also used the Stampin' Up eyelet lace border punch. I wasn't able to find Rhinestones the right color so I colored my clear rhinestones with my Copics. I LOVE being able to do that!!! I took a beginners Copic class with Cindy Lawrence and learned all kinds of amazing stuff!!!  Thanks Cindy!!!

Here's the inside of the card.

My mom is seriously the most important person in my life and truly my best friend!! I hope you enjoy this card and if anyone has some tips on the problems I mentioned above, let me know!!!
